Dru Christiansen
Consultant, Coach and Trainer

In her role as consultant and trainer, Dru brings to Authentic Strengths Advantage® a wealth of experience from her background in psychology and her private practice. Dru also is owner and President of the mental health practice: A HAPPIER YOU. She has been a Professor at Utah Valley University since 2011 and an enthusiastic lecturer on marriage, family, parenting and relationships. She loves helping students, clients and others to create a positive change in their lives through strength training, positive life changes and motivational interviewing. Dru believes that when people are taught to change their negative core beliefs and schemas, they can create a better, healthier and productive life.

Dru has worked as a mental health counselor for the past 12 years. She has a thriving practice helping those with depression, anxiety, abuse, marital, family, and relationship issues. As aProfessor at Utah Valley University Dru teaches: Interpersonal relationships, Abnormal Psychology, and Introduction to Social Work. She was voted one of the best professors on a student survey. She is an enthusiastic teacher who uses interactional methods to encourage and help her students. Since 2003 she has been a guest lecturer on the topics of: enhancing relationships, creating healthy marriages, and positive parenting.

Dru has always believed in the power of being positive and that when challenges come along it is an opportunity to change and learn. She loves and uses strength-based techniques and believes everyone has strengths they can call on to overcome challenges and change for the better.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
