Leader as Strengths Coach

This workshop can be taught in a one-day format, or in four 90-minute modules. Participants will learn strengths coaching principles and practical tools to maximize positive leadership, ignite potential, increase goal attainment, boost productivity, and strengthen work relationships overall!

STRONG Goals ©

This workshop can be taught in a half-day format, or in six 30-minute modules. Participants will learn strengths coaching principles and practical tools to maximize goal attainment.
6 Keys to Unlocking STRONG Goals©

  • Strengths: Identify your strengths best suited to the goal. Build around what has worked well, intentionally recreating success.
  • Timed: Give your goal clearly defined timeframes to check progress along the way. Plan realistic celebrations for each milestone.
  • Relevant: Make the goal relevant long-term by infusing it with motivation/meaning/purpose—identifying your unique contribution to self/others.
  • Options: Explore the potential rewards/costs of each goal option to choose the highest leverage.
  • Network: Identify a support network of family members, friends, colleagues, etc.
  • Growth: Grow with a goal that stretches/inspires you. Use the weekly 3 R’s: reflect on progress, reveal insights, recalibrate when necessary.

Whole Life Balance

It’s no secret—people perform better and are more fulfilled when the many facets of their lives are in harmony. You will learn to use the ASA Whole Life Scale© to identify areas of your life that may need attention. Leverage your strengths to recharge those areas of your life that you want to improve.

 

Twenty-first century wellbeing addresses your perception of your whole life and your overall fulfillment. Any measure of wellbeing must be broad enough to incorporate an individual’s own choices, meaning, and purpose in life while being focused enough to facilitate action for improvement. ASA’s Whole Life Scale© addresses 8 important aspects of life that are universal across cultures, and can be evaluated and measured by you to assess your life satisfaction in those areas. When you are able to measure your wellbeing, then you are in a position to positively impact it.

Youth/Teens

This workshop can be taught in twelve 50-minute modules, or spread out over an entire school semester. It is designed to teach youth/teens strengths coaching tools that can be applied personally, and in their relationships with others. Students learn coaching and character strengths principles grounded in scientific research. Practicing these principles has been shown to increase achievement, productivity, happiness and satisfaction in one’s academic and personal life.
